Su Tu Vang

Timeline: 2008
Location: Vietnam
Client: McDermott
Operator: Cuulong
Topsides Weight: 16,500 MT

Project Description:
At the time of installation, the central processing platform at Su Tu Vang had a processing capacity of 100,000b/d, making Su Tu Vang Vietnam’s largest source of crude for at least three years. McDermott completed the Transportation and Installation with the I-650 launch barge.

OKI Scope of Work:
OKI completed the design, fabrication, full scale testing, and delivery of Leg Mating Units (LMUs) and Deck Support Units (DSUs). In this project, the DSU's were unique in having a large sliding surface, a gimbal, and vertical elastomers combining to allow lateral sliding, rotation and compression.

Key Details:
DSU design incorporated the McDermott proprietary sliding surface to reduce lateral structural loads.

OKI designed, manufactured, and delivered the following for the Su Tu Vang float-over installation:
8 Leg Mating Units (Vertical Stiffness - 305 mm deflection at 2760 MT)
8 Deck Support Units (Vertical Stiffness - 150 mm deflection at 2830 MT)
8 Stabbing Cones
8 Sand Jack Systems
