OKI provides innovative solutions and performs testing services for for all of our production parts and full assemblies, ensuring the proper operation of the final product. Our one of a kind test press is capable of creating 12,840 s.tons (11,650 metric tons) of compression force and is available to clients from multiple industries. OKI also offers Research & Development services to customers for new products or modifications to current products.
Test press - World’s Largest of its Kind
OKI has the world’s largest vertical compression test press and operates factory acceptance tests of each and every delivered component and assembly. With up to 12,840 s.tons (11,650 metric tons) of force, an opening over 7.5m tall and 4.5m wide, we can test the largest LMU and DSU loads required by today’s mega projects. Our tests assure OKI and the end client that the products will respond predictably and properly during the most critical stages of your platform’s installation. OKI is interested in offering additional services to companies with projects requiring this unique combination of specifications.
Cylindrical Bearings
OKI has developed cylindrical bearings for potential use in FPSOs and other mooring systems. Many layers of elastomer between metal supports allow for high degrees of axial rotation while limiting and dampening lateral motions. Our layered design allows excellent sheer motion properties while maintaining capacity for high compression forces.
Well Spring Technology
OKI is now promoting its patented Wellspring Technology, a low-cost, ultra-high capacity hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder for fluid power systems. The cylinder can be operated using seawater, air, or other non-volatile fluids. Applications include subsea actuators, motion compensation and other applications needing Ultra-High Compression Loads.
Customized R&D, Prototype and Product Testing Programs
OKI has participated in several prototype research and development studies using the latest computer aided design and modeling programs. If we can design and build it, we can test it. We have an extensive database of elastomer products, designs, and test results. Our staff has more than 75 years of elastomer design, development, and testing experience; we are ready to put that experience to work for your elastomer needs.
